The 12th International Food, Beverage, Wine & Spirits Exhibition in China
Having attracted over 30,500 professional buyers in 2010, SIAL China is China’s largest and fastest growing food show, and is the only exhibition of its kind that offers exhibitors the unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with some of China’s biggest retailers and importers through the SIAL China Retail & Distribution Area. In 2010, many USA Pavilion exhibitors took advantage of these pre-arranged meetings with buyers from Carrefour, City Shop, Sinodis, Spar, Lianhua, Jiadeli … The 2011 edition of SIAL China will feature an increased focus in the wine & spirits sector, with over 250 exhibitors expected to participate, along with the “Best Chinese Sommelier” contest.
Why should you exhibit at SIAL China 2011?
· China is the 3rd largest importer in the global economy and 4th biggest country for agricultural trade
· Chinese consumers spend nearly half their disposable income on food and beverages
· 88% of all exhibitors surveyed said SIAL China was “the best show of the area for sales generated”
Many US exporters reported significant new business generated from buyers met at SIAL China, including Peter Wilby with Bruce Foods who said, “SIAL China 2010 proved to be one of the most successful shows I have ever attended. The attendance was steady throughout which allowed quality time with each contact. The caliber of the attendees was exceptional and their interest was focused and product specific. However, what was most impressive was the immediate and detailed follow up by almost every company I met with… This show generated actual sales to new accounts quicker than any other show I have attended in more than 25 years of participating in international trade shows.”
